UPSL Announces Florida Expansion with Naples City FC

Naples, FL Based Pro Development Club Joins for Spring Season

March 1, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Naples City Football Club as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Naples. FL, Naples City FC will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida West Division. The club will host its home games at Paradise Coast Sports Complex (3868 City Gate Blvd North, Naples, FL 34117).

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "We are excited to welcome Naples City FC to the UPSL. Nothing slows down soccer in Florida and the UPSL's Florida West Division, which just completed its first full season, is quickly becoming a force of its own in the state. Growth down into Naples is a sign of the impact the league is making. We're now in every significant market on both coasts of Florida, and we look forward to Naples City FC getting started in the UPSL."

Diego Granda is President of Naples City FC. John Foster is Vice President.

"The UPSL met all of our demands and was the most appropriate league for our club's procedures," Granda said. "We see growth in U.S. soccer with the 2026 World Cup coming and just felt like now was the right time to start our club."

The club will announce its game schedule in the upcoming weeks.

Naples City FC is an American Soccer club currently based in Naples, FL, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Naples City FC will begin play in the UPSL's Florida West Division.

Founded in 2020, Naples City FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the
United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
